INFORMATION
This website  is here purely for your entertainment, to allow you to see some of the aspects of local environments that we all take for granted. There are no facilities on this site to purchase or download images. All of that is catered for at the dedicated on-line store site and is accessed via the purchase links on any page of this website.

Galleries
on this site run a 'Lightbox' script, this allows for larger copies of the images to open in the same window. Moving your pointer to top left or right of the opened picture will reveal 'next' & 'previous' options so you don't have to close the window every time you change a picture. If you prefer not to run this script on your PC, clicking on the image will open it in a new window and you will need to use your browser 'back' button to resume viewing.

Images are changed on a random selection basis, i.e. not all the images in each gallery are changed at the same time, I feel this gives the site some continuity and allows me time to get out to produce new images for you to see. Additionally, new pictures makes a return visit interesting and worth your while, assuming you like what I do for you of course.

Photographs on the site are all delivered in a thumbnail format to enable as quick load time in your browser as is possible, however, this site is about photographs so it is unfortunately inevitable that the galleries will, for some, be slower to download, I apologise for this and in time hope to find a way to deliver the galleries speedily.

Images on this site are copyright & watermarked. Private individuals; schools & charities can use images from this site providing due credit is given to the photographer or source. I have a dedicated on line store accessable via the purchase links or here. Alternatively, you can contact me directly, or via any of the methods on the 'contact' page. Many of the images are available for download. Use the links to the on-line shop for details and prices. I can also email images to you.

Equipment I use is as follows; Canon Digital EOS 350D SLR cameras and I shoot RAW sRGB. All my lenses are canon too, I have the following; EFS 18-55; EFS 17-85; EF 55-200; EF 90-300 and an EF 100-400. All have UV(0) filters on, mainly to protect the lens glass but also increases the light capture. When I do employ ‘effects' filters they are Cokin and generally only two, a Polaroid (which I almost always forget to adjust) and the P027, which, I think, helps with a bit of definition. Am always getting dust etc into the camera and use a Delkin SensorVac to clear it out.
My tri-pods are a Manfrotto 390RC2, great for lugging about as its strong and not too heavy, (also has foam bits at top of the legs so my hands don’t get stuck to it in freezing conditions) also have a Velbron DV7000, it’s really for video cameras but it sure is a sturdy old beast and with very wide adjustable legs for very windy and rough conditions.
